Directors

John Brennan
John is our Managing Director. He is a chartered engineer with over 30 years postgraduate experience with leading international power companies in civil and structural engineering.  Founding member and Managing Director of Kelvin Construction Co Ltd (now Kelvin Power) John is widely respected throughout the industry for his experience and ability to offer practical and economic engineering solutions.
Alastair Brennan
Alastair is our Commercial Director. He is a qualified commercial lawyer having spent several years in private practice with a leading national law firm. Alastair joined Kelvin Energy in 2011 to assist with the growth of the business and to take on all commercial aspects of the business including business development, tendering and sales. Alastair also deals with project development and consents management having worked on a number of offshore wind farm projects.

Team Leaders

Gibson Bhunu
Gibson is our Technical Director of Civil and Structural Engineering. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) and is responsible for all civil and structural designs required on HV substations up to 400kV, onshore connections, cable studies and transmission lines. Gibson has over 20 years of experience in the design and construction of HV substations and overhead transmission lines in the UK and overseas through working for international power companies, manufacturers, contractors and transmission system owners.  Gibson’s experience and knowledge allows him to identify potential issues and deliver cost effective solutions at an early stage that can be delivered on time and within tight budgetary constraints.
James Walker
James is our Substation Layout Design team leader and Technical Director of Electrical Engineering. James has over 20 years’ experience with substation projects and has previously worked with international power companies. James’ knowledge and attention to detail with regards to substation layouts is highly valued by our clients. James’ substation design experience allows him to effectively manage the production of substation primary plant layouts and elevations, HV cable route studies and bespoke equipment support structures used in electrical substations.
Manjit Kooner
Manjit is our Legal Director. She is a qualified solicitor and worked in private practice for a number of years before joining us. Manjit supports and provides legal advice and services to the group companies and is a part of the senior management team.  Manjit also manages large scale energy projects, with a specialism in offshore wind. Her legal background helps her to successfully manage the legal and consents side of the projects, dealing and negotiating with landowners, agents, solicitors and other energy companies.
Ian Fleming
Ian is our Operations Director, with over 16 years’ experience in Human Resources and Personnel Management and vast experience with implementing and maintaining Management Systems (particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001). Ian is largely responsible for maintaining the high levels of quality assurance, personnel management and health and safety compliance expected within the company. Ian is currently working toward Chartered status with the Charted Quality Institute and Chartered Management Institute.
Ronnie Dunn
Ronnie is our Scottish Office General Manager and Head of Civil Engineering, based in Perth. With over 35 years of experience within the energy sector in the UK and ROI, in Network Operations and Contracting, he has an extensive knowledge base across the civil and electrical requirements of HV Substation and Wind Farm projects. This knowledge base, together with his project management and process improvement skills provides a solid basis for clients seeking timely and economic solutions to their project needs.
Jon Eynon
Jon is our Project Management and Administration Team Leader. Jon’s experience of over 30 years’ as a project engineer with international power companies provides him with a wide range of experience and skills to assist clients with their project delivery aims. Jon’s experience in the industry allows him to liaise with land owners, clients, and approving bodies, produce risk assessments and method statements, manage quality assurance, health and safety, as well as overall project management.
